The P-793H is a high performance G.SHDSL Gateway providing Internet access and LAN-to-LAN application over existing copper line for small/medium office. The P-793H makes full use of the advanced G.SHDSL.bis technology to offer data transmission rates of up to 5.69Mbps in 2-wire mode. In 4-wire mode, you can get up to twice the transmission speed at 11.38Mbps.
Robust Firewall Security and IPSec VPN Support
The ICSA-certified ZyNOS ensures state-of-the-art firewall performance and robust security from the P-793H. Based on Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), Denial of Service (DoS) and DDoS features, it provides the first line of defense against hackers, network intruders, and other malicious threats.
Furthermore, its VPN feature supports data encryption over the Internet to ensure secure data transmission between two sites. VPNs can be used to replace a private leased line, allowing global interconnectivity with minimal expense.
Media Bandwidth Management (MBM) QoS
The P-793H enables network administrators to allocate network resources to guarantee Quality of Service (QoS). The Media Bandwidth Management (MBM) function prioritizes services, and increases productivity and efficiency in daily operations by tailoring bandwidth allocation to specific demands such as VoIP, video streaming, video-conferencing or interactive game applications.
Auto Fail-over and Fall-back WAN Backup Solution
The P-793H features a Fail-over and Fail-back WAN Backup Solution for complete network reliability. When the DSL connection fails, traffic is forwarded to either the backup ISDN or analog modem to maintain smooth data transmission. When the DSL connection is re-established, network traffic through the P-793H will resume again. The P-793H can also redirect traffic to a specific gateway to ensure availability of Internet connection. The WAN Backup Solution saves device maintenance cost and reduces business loss from unexpected network disruptions.
